Forest Futures

Speculative Co-design curriculum

Over the summer term of 2022, Sylva Studio worked with students of Ashton Gate Primary School to imagine a truly sustainable future for Bristol, designed by the pupils themselves. Combining climate science and design conventions, the curriculum allowed the students to draw, model and collaborate on more than 20 different visions for Bristol in 2050. Sylva studio elaborated and amalgamated the student designs before ‘revealing’  their imaginative proposals.

The project was commissioned and organised by Climate Change All Change; a charity established to introduce design within early learning as a crucial tool for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
